1/2 Day Tour to Lindos
Lindos is known as one of the most beautiful places to visit in Rhodes.
It perfectly combines the contrast between the brilliant white houses
and winding lanes of the more recent village built around two beaches,
the ancient acropolis and fortifications towering above it from its austere
pinnacle. You will visit the temple of Athena Lindia built on the 4th
century BC, admire the stunning view and feel the magic. We are certain
this memorable experience is not to be found in any other place in Greece.
Day Tour to Filerimos - Kamiros - Valey of the Butterflies
You will be driven along the West Coast of the island to Mount Filerimos
where you will visit the Acropolis of Ancient Ialyssos. On the slopes
of a hill, some 36km south - west of the town, Kamiros, the so called
“Pompeii of Rhodes”, is situated. One can see here the remains of three
of the most ancient towns of the island which at the end of the 5th century
B.C. were reunited to form the new capital of the island, Rhodes. Excavations
lead to discover a whole city with its temples and houses. Continuing
you will visit the famous Valley of the Butterflies where one can see
millions of butterflies and enjoy the lush vegetation surrounding the
valley.
Full Day Cruise to Symi Island
During the sail across the Aegean Sea, we pass very close to the Turkish
coastline. Symi is one of the most unspoiled of the Greek Islands. We
arrive first to the West Coast part of Panormitis with its 12th century
monastery. We, then, continue and arrive at the small picturesque harbour
with its dazzling multicoloured houses. We are able to relax in one of
the harbour side taverns or explore the graphic inland further. A lovely
relaxing day out to a beautiful island.
Kos
Kos is a cosmopolitan island, full of greenery, surrounded by golden
beaches and dotted with impressive historical monuments. Its capital is
on the north-east side of the island towards the bay. There are still
tracks of the ancient city and its castle around the port, which was built
in 1450-1478 by St. John’s knights who conquered the island. Excavations
in the old city brought to light findings from the "agora" which
dates back to Classic Age as well as the conservatory, the high school
and the Roman bath.
The historic route of the place unfolds in front of the visitor’s eyes.
A distinctive feature of Kos is the Turkish leavings which are reflected
not only on buildings such as the “Gazi Hassan Mosque” on Eleftherias
Square but also in areas/districts such as Kermendes. The picture of the
modern city of Kos is presented and painted nowadays with modern buildings,
big hotel complexes, and avenues full of palm trees are impressive. A
bike ride round the city, which is the favourite means of transport of
both the locals and visitors will surely be unforgettable.
The island of Kos drenched in the Aegean colours, offers its unique
hospitality for holidays and relaxation to thousands of visitors every
year. Famous for its archaeological treasures, the endless beaches and
shores with crystal clear waters, the excellent Mediterranean climate
and the small picturesque villages on the mountain Dikaion, Kos is an
ideal destination for every Incentive trip. |
